Traceability is one of the characteristic that has various requirements in Aerospace industries. With the advancement of coding science, the aerospace industry's lettering coding method has evolved from the original text and barcode to a two-dimensional code (QR- Code). As laser marking technology has the advantages of speed, stability, so it is mostly used on production to store various information within a small QR-code. At present, technicians in the repair shop only need to scan the QR code of the laser engraving to trace the part manufacturer, related processing history and any key parameters. This technology has been certified by our customers Safran group and GE Aviation.
