Before establishing an M2M machine network, all smart machines must be able to speak under the same language. Therefore, a smart machine communication protocol was established so all smart machine processing information could be presented with a similar data structure. Through the data collection equipment, and the use our MTConnect protocol, Chaheng is able to collect data from HMI, Sensor, CNC Machine, generating machine data (XML format) through the MTConnect Agent for retrieval and used by other applications, which also can be connected to the Internet via a USB wireless network card. MTConnect Agent is an open source, it provides XML generator, HTTP protocol, MTConnect protocol and so on.
M2M is the abbreviation of machine-to-machine, some people might also understand it as man-to-machine, machine-to-man, etc., With communication technology M2M is realized for intelligent, interactive and seamless connection between people, machines and systems. M2M devices can answer data requests contained and automatically transmit data contained other devices. M2M communication is consistent with the core practice of the Internet. The machine network has connected 3 production lines with more than 80 large-scale and high-complexity processing machines, including 8 mechanical equipment configurations.
The digitization of data is the basis of smart manufacturing and smart management. MTConnect is used to construct communication protocols and hardware to collect data. Due to MTConnect being a one-way (passive) output of XML documents, through the HTTP protocol for transmission, the data collection is made for related applications.
